Mama Annie is US was created for the Caravan of HOPE, health equity tour and art exhibition funded by UBUNTUs Taste of Freedom Juneteenth event in June 2024. Meera curated this show and provided this piece for vistors. The exhibit was held at a cooling center for the unsheltered to escape the deadly Phoenix summer heat. The piece is completed using mixed media (oil,acrylic,spray paint, foam,pen) with painted and sculpted construction foam used to show the evolving resilience of the American women. 2ftx3ft on canvas.
